The perfect combination of the contemporary design with a rustic twist, Victors in Hale is the perfect place for a beauty blogging event. Wisteria adorns the ceiling at the front of the restaurant making it the perfect place for an Instagram snap. The atmosphere is airy, yet cosy, making it the ideal place to catch up with old friends or make new ones over some good food and a health kick smoothie. So it is no surprise that last weekend Simply Argan held their latest beauty blogging event there.
As a tired mum of two that can see 30 approaching at a speed I’m not all that comfortable with, I’m becoming increasingly aware of the fine lines appearing on my forehead. I’ve heard about the anti-ageing properties of Argan Oil so I was keen to hear more about Simply Argan’s range of products.
Simply Argan aim to produce the highest quality products by using the highest quality Argan oil. In order to make sure this is the case, with each individual product they source their Argan oil from Morroco and then have it independently tested in a UK laboratory to ensure it matches their standards.
So what did I make of Simply Argan’s products?
It’s been incredibly difficult getting back into a routine after our Northern European road trip and I’ve really had to remind myself that although I need to catch up after a nice break away, I need to remember to be kind to myself too. This weekend I decided to take some time to myself, cracked open the biscuits, switched on Love Island, opened up the latest edition of ELLE and set myself up for a good ‘ole night of pampering.
Nothing relaxes me quite as well as a nice hot bubble bath, so I ran myself a bath and took some time to soak. Naturally as a mum that meant I had to share my bath with some yellow rubber ducks and a few plastic boats, but it was relaxing all the same.
Simply Argan Shampoo and Conditioner
Before I fell pregnant with the boys my hair was always shiny, manageable and bouncy. But then the pregnancy hormones kicked in, made it prone to grease, it became limp and a complete pain to do anything with. I’ve tried hair product after hair product, from shampoos that combat build up to ridiculously expensive volumizing serums and nothing has really made much of an impact. Enter Simply Argan Shampoo and Conditioner. From one wash, this shampoo has left my hair clean, shiny and manageable. I have recently had an ombre style bleach put in my hair so the ends aren’t quite as nourished as they could be, but I’ve been told a little tip for that which I’m going to share with you…
Simply Argan Argan Oil
This stuff is AMAZING! I added a few drops to my bubble bath and my skin has been really soft and nourished since. I was also advised to try running some of it through the ends of my hair. I have tried some cheaper products over the years but it just left my hair feeling greasy and like it had a film over it. Simply Argan’s shampoo and conditioner however are like a dream and now after one wash I feel like I could rival the models on a hair advert. After nearly 3 years of struggling with my hair, I’m literally over the moon to have found this little gem. I highly recommend it to anyone who has been struggling with their hair since having a baby.
Simply Argan Night Oil
To be honest although this has left my skin feeling a little softer, I’m not raving about this product. It feels lovely on the skin and definitely feels luxurious, but I personally prefer using other night creams that also have a bit more lift and illuminate my face that little bit more.
Simply Argan Scrub
This scrub is for exfoliating the skin and reducing the appearance of stretchmarks and scar. Now I have actually grown to LOVE my tiger stripes, I mean how could I not when they are my special reminder of pregnancy and the mark of my children? But I know a lot of people who are very self conscious about the stretchmarks left on their skin since pregnancy. I decided to test this scrub because I’ve tried a lot of oils and lotions in the past, but although a lot of them reduced the stretchmarks, I was still left with very large one across my stomach. This scrub is honestly the best product I have ever used for stretchmarks, I actually called Mr. C into the bathroom to show him and even he had noticed a difference. I got a bit emotional about the idea of losing my stretchmarks, so washed off the scrub and then used body wash to remove the oil (that is infused in it) from my skin. If you are looking for a product to remove your stretchmarks though, I really recommend giving this a try.
*Note: I was invited to a bloggers brunch at Victors, Hale and then gifted Simply Argan products in return for an honest review.
